Endview plantation offers the following interactive children’s camps for the summer.
Battle of Big Bethel-Civil War Reenactment
April 2-3. 2011
Join us as we commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Big Bethel In 1861,
Union General Benjamin Butler’s forces collided with Colonel John Magruder’s Confederate troops at Big Bethel becoming the first land battle of the Civil War. Experience the sights and sounds of the Civil War battlefield including cannons, muskets, drums, trumpets and horses. Learn about Civil War camp life and what soldiers did during quieter times.
